WHERE IS VALLEY CHURCH?

Location: 1160 East 29th Street
Lynn Valley, North Vancouver, BC

We are on the corner of 29th Street and Lynn Valley Road. It is across from Lynn Valley Centre Mall and next to Valley Centre (which houses a medical building and a McDonalds).

Office hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 4 pm

Sunday Services: 9am and 11am (9am online)

WHERE DO MY KIDS GO?

Babies age 1-12 months: Moms with babies are welcome to use the nursery at the back of the church to the right (left if you are facing the back).

Toddlers age 1-2: There is babysitting for the toddlers in the room marked “Mini Kids” at the back of the church, next to the nursery.

Children age 3- Grade 7 (11 am only): Join the service for the worship and then go downstairs to the church basement (through the door marked “Valley Church Kids”) for Sunday school. They participate in a Bible lesson, crafts and games.  A snack is provided. Children are signed in and out for security reasons.

WHAT ARE SUNDAY SERVICES LIKE?

We have two services – at 9 am and 11 am.  We sing for the first half an hour with all the words to the songs displayed on a screen in front of the church. We then make an announcement and take up the offering (visitors need not to give). At this point, the children go down to the Sunday school (11 am service only) in the basement of the church. The sermon then commences and usually takes 45minutes. After both services, there is coffee available out on our patio through the door at the front of the church to the left. Everybody is welcome.

We take communion on the first Sunday of the month.

CAN I MEET THE PASTOR?

Yes, his name is Marcel Kurtz and he is usually available on the patio after each service having coffee and he would love to chat with you. If you would like a longer or more private visit with him you can make an appointment with the church office to see him at a convenient time.
